Benja Matteson

Benja currently works as a freelance coffee consultant out of Nashville as well as a world traveler, Christian missions trainer, and refugee advocate. His entire professional life has centered around an extremely diverse and successful coffee career, having gotten into the industry at a very young age. 

Over the past seven years, Benja has worked as a professional barista, café assistant manager, coffee education expert, latte art trainer, and coffee wholesale director. Benja’s experience stretches throughout the United States, working in Phoenix, Arizona toNashville, Tennessee. He also partakes in coffee consultation internationally in both South Asia and the United Kingdom. He has completed integrated consulting projects with five different coffee companies to date. 

He absolutely loves bringing people into the worlds of origin, roasting process, and brew method. When Benja is not inundated in the world of coffee, he is spending quality time with his beautiful wife, Anna.
